Jackson Muyeki
Am Jackson Muyeki, aged 21 yrs of age born and brought up in Mathare. I am the first born in a family of two boys; I joined Maji Mazuri after I completed my high school level in 2008 up to date. Since joining Maji Mazuri youth group , I have benefited in different programmes like am an alumni of Nairobits digital school of design. Currently I am working in an IT company as a web administrator, designer and developer. Maji Mazuri has made me know and interact with different people within different backgrounds around the globe. I am currently the youth groups secretary where by am in charge of attendance of members, youths group reports and any other business that revolve in secretarial matters, I am also a video editor in Multimedia group, a member in garbage project and finally a member in the committee group that deals with handling with youth groups issues, and also a facilitator in Alternatives to violence project that trains youth in peace reconciliation in mathare and its environment.

We pay tribute to more than 34million people living with HIV/AIDS worldwide. Kenya has also reflect on the loss of millions of people whose lives have been claimed by AIDS. In their honor we must join together to expand our efforts. While remarkable progresses has been made over the last 3 decades we must continue to forge ahead. New scientific developments are rapidly changing expectations for the future. Of a particular importance was a study showing that antiretroviral treatment reduces the likelihood of transmission of HIV to an infected partner by a remarkable 96%. Science has given us tools we need to navigate our efforts in the direction of an AIDS-free generation, working collectively we can turn the tide of HIV.
