Maji Mazuri has put together a new Web site. We are forming an online community to share our experiences, connect with people around the world and build cross-continental awareness. Maji Mazuri Site Goals

We are focused on helping Maji Mazuri Center create and implement an efficient, effective cyber strategy. With more expansive outreach we can help Maji Mazuri attain more resources to achieve the program's transformational mission of service.

The Web team has two primary priorities. The first is to provide powerful technological tools to help Maji Mazuri launch quickly into the digital era, and enable the program’s web front to evolve with the organization’s priorities. The second is to enlist a new generation of committed global citizens who want to make a difference. By creating awareness and disseminating knowledge, the site will serve as a catalyst for thousands to get involved in Maji Mazuri’s quest to bring  more transformational opportunities to those in the impoverished slums of Mathare Valley and beyond.

By implementing an effective online strategy our goal is to help Maji Mazuri:

• Project a living, breathing, evolving organization to constituents.
• Generate an emotional response. Get commitment and action.
• Fundraise and build cross-continental awareness
• Motivate people behind Maji Mazuri’s priorities.
• Inspire, influence and inform.

We will utilize technological tools to combine content management, fundraising, advocacy, and constituency-building capabilities into a comprehensive, action-oriented suite.

Our goal is to help Maji Mazuri raise more money, grow the global community faster, lock in loyalty through social networking, and motivate members to build support behind Maji Mazuri’s mission.

We will help Maji Mazuri develop and manage an online system that puts power behind the organization’s promise by integrating seven tools:

Content Tools

Our goal is to help Maji Mazuri build and maintain a hassle free, lively, content-rich web front.

Fundraising Tools

Provide relevant technology tools to help the organization raise funds from members including integrated mobile, mass email and contribution processing.

Email Tools

Enable Maji Mazuri to communicate via a goal-oriented outbound email program that raises funds, furthers the organization’s advocacy goals, and keeps partners and participants informed.

Advocacy Tools

The site will provide a consistent message and plan hence help members take action, and drive public opinion on a unified front. The site will contain templates to help partners write letters to recruit more supporters, contact editors, and spread the word virally to others.

Community Tools

Our goal is to give members a sense of participation in Maji Mazuri’s mission — through blogging, user-generated content, events management, and more.

Social Media Integration Tools

The site will integrate Maji Mazuri’s message into existing social media. Participants will be able to send message updates to Twitter, and Facebook status updates and post uploaded videos directly into and from Youtube.

Goal Setting Tool

We recognize that a Web site, even one underpinned by the powerful and versatile  digital tools, is nothing but potential until backed by a clear communications plan that identifies the online program goals, and addresses them through a coordinated series of campaigns that leverage the organization’s online presence. The site will enable partners and participants to set goals for fundraising, advocacy, and online engagement then develop and manage a communications plan to meet them. This also ensures interns and volunteers managing the social media campaign come quickly up to speed with Maji Mazuri’s mission.
